Health Coaching
Over the years, we’ve heard two main things from our clients:
1. Companies spent large quantities of money on various initiatives throughout the year. Employees became motivated for a few weeks or a couple of months and reverted back to their original poor health behaviors. Short term wellness activities did not change people’s health behaviors for the long term.
2. People are unique and their health issues are unique. How can companies help the most people at one time when employees are facing so many various health issues?
Lifestyle Management Health Coaching is the only program that is unique to every individual within the organization.
TotalWellness health coaching guides participants though the stages of change to reach their overall goal. By telephone, participants work with a lifestyle management coach to determine what areas of their life require change and how to move forward. The coach helps to empower the employee as they progress.
TotalWellness health coaching curriculum is the key to having structured and productive calls. A win-win for every company, moving people towards healthier behaviors and doing it quickly will result in a better bottom line in no time.
The TotalWellness Coaching Difference
TotalWellness coaches come from a variety of backgrounds – dietitians, health educators, nurses, personal trainers and more. Our coaches are experienced in more than just the clinical aspects of health. They are required to have health coaching experience and must undergo a rigorous application and training process. They are then mentored until they are ready to lead employees through the program. A coach manager listens to every call and provides follow-up with the coach when applicable.
Though the coaches provide guidance, it is up to the participants to lead the way, allowing them to move at their own pace and feel more accountable for their actions. Our program utilizes a point system to associate value with each task. This feedback allows participants to know how close they are to moving to the next stage and accomplishing their goal.
